2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500: Engine and Technical Upgrade

2019 Chevrolet Silverado is recently updated – Chevy redesigned the Silverado for 2019. Furthermore, driving the 2018 and 2019 Silverado 1500 back to back showed just how much the new truck has improved over its predecessor. It’s a top-rated truck with a smooth ride and quiet interior, and it can haul your heavy loads. Its quick, smooth shifts make driving the 6.2-equipped Chevrolet Silverado especially satisfying. The new 2.7-liter four-cylinder is a clean-sheet design that was envisioned as a truck engine from the outset with the goal to make it as smooth as a V engine. It is much needed off road with the longer wheelbase of the new truck.

Don’t tell anyone at General Motors, but this latest-generation Chevrolet Silverado doesn’t look, you know, radically different from the company’s previous-generation pickup. General Motors engineers call it a fractional approach, and the idea is similar to a sprinkler timer that can water every day, every other day, every third day or every fourth day. We’re also regular people like you, so we pay attention to all the different ways people use their cars every day. If you want to buy pick up truck, crew cab, work truck or regular cab Chevrolet Silverado is the best option! 34,600, is the second-lowest trim level, ahead of only the Work Truck trim. The Work Truck trim level lets you know what it’s all about with the name. We’d like to tell you about the diesel, the 6.2-liter V8 and how they work with the 10-speed automatic, but we can’t. I can’t wait to get my hands on one with a diesel and 10-speed trans and see what it’s all about.

V8 Engine Upgrade

2019 Chevrolet Silverados will be available in 2-wheel drive (2WD) and 4-wheel drive (4WD) forms and with a choice of six engine/transmission combinations, including two different versions of GM’s 5.3-liter V8. A proper track test will have to confirm that pace, yet it feels entirely reasonable from our initial drive in and around Phoenix, Arizona, in roughly 5000-pound double-cab four-wheel-drive Silverados. We have seen several prototypes of the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, yet never the interior styling. Interior styling is already dated, with the instrument panel and center stack looking too much like they do in the outgoing truck.

An all-new 310-hp turbocharged 2.7-liter inline-four and a still-mysterious 3.0-liter diesel inline-six will join the Silverado lineup after its launch this fall. The Silverado 1500 comes equipped with one of four different engine choices for 2019. These are a 2.7-liter Turbo, a 4.3-liter V-6, a 5.3-liter V-8 or a 6.2-liter V-8. GM’s two separate brands serve similar markets, so the GMC Sierra 1500 is typically more upscale and comes at a premium price.

Technical Upgrade

2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 first drive, the system includes cameras that allow the driver to not only line up with the hitch, but an HD top-down view of the hitch makes it possible to set the hitch perfectly without anyone guiding the driver. This helps you to monitor a young driver’s driving habits and to set perimeters on what they can do inside of your vehicle. The optional power-opening tailgate is a nice touch; high-end trims have one that can even be closed remotely. Overall A nice quiet ride and plenty of Power. Trailer tech, including the auxiliary trailer camera, is available, as is a power up/down tailgate. There are clever storage spaces inside, including nooks in the front of the rear seatbacks and spots under the rear seats. The Silverado’s narrow headlights sit high above a massive grille and front bumper that are chrome on most trim levels.

There are multiple reflectors and full LED headlights developed by LedoAuto, as well as a lowered and more massive front bumper. (LT package has h11 halogen fog light instead of full led headlights, but we can upgrade the fog lights by purchase h11 led bulb conversion kit and change the bulbs by ourselves) The Silverado 1500 comes equipped with one of four different engine choices for 2019. These are a 2.7-liter Turbo, a 4.3-liter V-6, a 5.3-liter V-8 or a 6.2-liter V-8. The new Silverado is initially available with both 5.3-liter V8s, as well as the 6.2-liter, in many of the available trim levels. During a Chevrolet media event in Jackson Hole, Wyo., we drove three models set up to offer different levels of performance.
